A Closer Look at Our School District

Dixie, Washington is a small, unincorporated town in Walla Walla County. Population 197 (2010 Census). The town began in the 1860s when it was settled by the Kershaw brothers. Our post office has been in operation since 1881.

Dixie School District 101 is a one school district with grades Kindergarten through Fifth. Our current enrollment consists of two classrooms which houses 14 students. Dixie enjoys its very small class sizes that allow more individualized learning by all our students. Middle and high school aged children are transported to the nearby districts of Walla Walla or Waitsburg.
